A 20,000 capacity hat trick for Opera By Disguise!

WCLC Town Hall Dinner - 696

13th-14th-15th March, 2014

It’s a busy month for Opera by Disguise with three back to back performances across the country this week.

Opera by Disguise were invited to be a part of a VIP events showcase for the Waterview Function Centre at Bi-Centennial Park in Homebush, not an easy task to surprise a room full of event professionals, but Opera by Disguise in true form pulled off the performance seamlessly and to rousing applause from the lunch time audience.

Our talented cast headed off to Canberra performing the next evening for one of our favourite events The Starlight Ball. SMA Productions has enjoyed a long relationship with Starlight having performed at the events throughout the country for a number of years.

Posing as guest speakers and journalists covering the ball, our talented actors went un-detected before bursting into twenty minutes of beautiful opera classics. With everyone surprised the cast finished the night together on stage with well-known aria ‘Time to Say Goodbye’.

The third and final performance for the week saw our Opera by Disguise team board a plane to the sunny Gold Coast to perform at Metricon Stadium for the opening round of the AFL.

Appearing three times over the course of the evening including singing a rousing rendition of “Nessun Dorma” to the 20,000 capacity crowd, it’s safe to say the audience were left in awe of our performers who captivated the football crowd in what was an amazing venue.
